The Project

Hands up who likes wearing clothes…

Unless you’re a nudist I’m going to say you’re a fan, although we did notice you didn’t raise your hand.

Hands up who knows where their clothes came from and who made them…

No? No judgement but we suspected as much. That t-shirt you’re wearing presently, and we must say you do look spiffy, could have a whole lot of bad karma attached and you wouldn’t even know it. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Which is why we decided to walk (yes walk!) 3500km across Southeast Asia learning about and connecting people with the positive stories behind clothing. We wanted to give people another option to the high street brands and get people thinking about where their clothes come from. Along the way we visited and spoke with over 60 different brands, producers, businesses and organisations in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. Luckily for you we filmed and interviewed these visits and are continuing to share the stories as we edit them.

We certainly don’t pretend to have all of the answers to the unsustainable impacts of the fashion industry. But we’d like to change the way people look at, value and talk about fashion and we thought that this could just be insane enough to get your attention.
