The Project

Hands up who likes wearing clothes…

Unless you’re a nudist I’m going to say you’re a fan, although we did notice you didn’t raise your hand.

Hands up who knows where their clothes came from and who made them…

No? No judgement but we suspected as much. That t-shirt you’re wearing presently, and we must say you do look spiffy, could have a whole lot of bad karma attached and you wouldn’t even know it. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Which is why we are going to attempt to walk (yes walk!) across a good chunk of Asia for a year, learning about and connecting people with the positive stories behind clothing. We’re going to visit with artisans and cooperatives and speak with the people making clothing using an alternative model to fast fashion. We are hitting up Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand; visiting some of the very talented and sustainably minded folks in these places making beautiful products.

And we’re going to film the entire shamozzle!

Yes we are mad and we certainly don’t pretend to have all of the answers to the unsustainable impacts of the fashion industry. But we’d like to change the way people look at, value and talk about fashion and we thought that this could just be insane enough to get your attention.

Sew what are you waiting for?

Come on a journey with us. Asia is our runway and we are going to Walk Sew Good.
